We’re proud to share that we have been crowned National Winners for Developing Future Talent at the Make UK Awards.
The award recognises our Apprenticeship Programme, delivered in partnership with New College Durham, and the positive impact it’s having on closing the industry skills gap. From mentoring the next generation to promoting engineering and manufacturing careers within our local community, the programme plays a vital role in building long term capability for both our business and the wider sector.
Make UK is the national industry body that champions UK engineering and manufacturing, representing thousands of businesses across the country. The awards ceremony took place at Madame Tussauds in London, bringing together leaders from industry, education and government to celebrate excellence across the sector.
Adam Leggett, Managing Director, commented “You have to grow your own talent – otherwise you’ll run out of it. This award reflects the time, care and commitment our teams put into developing the next generation, and why apprenticeships remain central to the future of our business and our industry.”
Having already been named regional winners in October, taking home the national title is a huge moment and a real testament to the people behind the programme, from our apprentices and mentors to our partners at New College Durham.
A fantastic achievement, and one we’re incredibly proud of.
